What can I download so that Japanese website's characters read properly?

For example on pc the character encoding can be changed. ex: utf8 etc, how can I do that on my pda?

Put this url into pocket ie or whatever browser you are using.

"http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?hl=en&sl=ja&u="

Then just type "http://www" and the website you need to translate at the end of it.

Or if all else fails, learn Japanese!

thanks i clarified what i need. is there a download so that the japanese characters read properly?

Don't Panic!

Perhaps some language localization software would help. mobem software has the ce-star suite that allows witing and reading in Chinese and Japanese. There is a trial version so try before you buy.
