Michael, the choice is all down to you - people have upgraded & had horror stories to tell, others (like me :) ) upgraded with no problems whatsoever.

To be honest, I haven't noticed much difference between before & after the upgrade, but my view is: If there's an upgrade being released then it's there for a good reason (unless, of course, it's from Microsoft ).

bump that... sorry for long delay....

i dont use xcpu scalar at all now..... not worth it for me.

all i wanted to do was slow it down to extend battery life. but it locked up and a reset was needed to get it going again.

This Thread i a little out of date !! hx4700 has the WM5 2.01 upgrade it is the 3rd upgrade since 1.10

My battery won't charge when using this ROM. I had to go back to 1.00.9 or whatever to get it working right again. Not sure why an upgrade would cause my battery to not charge. Tried it several times. Same problem. I'm gonna just leave it at the old one. :(

hi paulm64 , i replied to a post of yours in a different thread. this is the thread i was refering to in that reply.
"SP31186 is a powercode update not a full rom update"
