Sprite Backup & HP iPAQ Backup Conflict

What's the deal with HP iPAQ Backup on the hx4700 when Sprite Backup is installed? iPAQ Backup somehow gets "corrupted." Sprite Backup works fine, but when iPAQ Backup is started, Sprite Backup is opened, which self - terminates when an actual backup is initiated.

Is there a thread on this? I looked, but haven't been able to find a specific one.

I must admit I've never tried this - I bought Sprite Backup to replace the HP Backup software, & have never used the HP backup since....

I've also noticed this on both WM5 and 2003SE. More of a problem on 2003SE

The issue really isn't that major, it's only that I feel... peeved that one of my apps was knocked out by another (despite Sprite Backup being a much better means of performing backups)

The fact that I haven't gone back to the HP Backup software says it all!

The thing with Sprite Backup is that originally the program was written for iPaq and (I am guessing here)some of the program files are overwritten with updated version for Sprite Backup. These new files prevent iPaq backup to run properly.

The whole point to buy Sprite Backup is because iPaq backup is buggy and simple. Why not just ignore the old iPAQ backup and use Sprite Backup all the time. The point for the backup software is it should be stable, right?

Cheers
