Iv pulled the batt out for 1 nite already and tried this morning and nothing still! then i tried again for the whole of today and now it still does nothing, on dock as well as plugging power in. I tried doing a hardreset thing, but nothing happened!!
the laches are both where they are supposed to be and everything!! soo im lost!! i cant send this back to hp because it was a present and I have no idea about the warranty for it or anything. pls helpp!! -- i did drop it :( accidentally a week ago, but it has worked properly since then with a scracth! but now.. its gone =(

hey!
ITS FIXED!
i didnt know what to do, so i opened up the ipaq. Looking at the bottom left where the lock is, i noticed there is a little leaver which pushes the lock down, this was stuck in an up position, i just flicked it down, tried again and my hx4700 booted up :D!

pushed the little lever ...WHOA BE CAREFULL

PLEASE BE CAREFULL WITH THAT LITTLE LEVER ! it is less than 1/2 mm in thickness and plastic ... IF YOU BREAK IT OFF YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR
A COMPLETE NEW MOTHERBOARD @ $377.00 U.S PLUS SHIPPING.

I know.. I have done this thing...and it was under warranty and they refused
to honor the warranty on it. Although I did not myself break it.. I had to get
an attorney and file a lawsuit agianst hp to make them honor the warranty..
they do not want to put in new $350 motherboard because 5 cent part break and they have no replacements.

just some good advise about that little bar....LEAVE IT ALONE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE !
