Ipaq loses power often - HUGE PROBLEM

Hi all!

I don't know what happened but awhile ago my Ipaq 4700 started losing power all of sudden - no warning no nothing. I bought new battery (replacement - not HP original), but again same problem.
My Ipaq is no more reliable.
I have installed WM5 2.01 ROM and had no problem using it for some time.

I wonder if it can be caused by Ipaq falling on carpet a few times or what?
Can anyone guide me on how to open unit (although I do not know how I can fix it)?
My warranty has expired!

Dado,

I had the same problem.... that's why I returned back to WM2003, where I never had problem like that.

It started happening about 15 days ago - not before!

You mentioned that it was dropped. I wonder if something came loose... You might consider contacting PocketPCTechs. I personally have never tried them but hear good reviews on their services and price.

Mine has a similar problem. My solution was to never leave a SD card in the slot. I have a large CF card and it works fine.
