GSM CF Card for HX4705

Hi,
I wish to pimp my HX :D with a CF GSM card what would be the best choice ?

What accessories have you added to your ipaq ?

Me : 512Mb SD + 2Go SD + Krusell case + Holux GSM S III + Logitech BT headset for Skype.

Enjoy your HX !!!

Hi, welcome to the site, Bonjour Monsieur. :)
I guess you mean GPS, right? I am sure people who own 47x will comment on their set up.

He could mean GSM.. If he did a Bluetooth Mobile phone may be a better option.

I've got a CF GSM GPRS card for my axim.. It does data very nicely, but is very poor for Voice/SMS

No No No... GSM/GPRS Card like Audiovox or Globetrotter PC-radio Card.

I do have a bluetooth GSM antenna already with TT6 (Holux Sirfstar III) works just fine !!!

I simply thought about pimping my HX with giving him a cellphone capabilities and wanted your advice.
Thks

your right

"GSM" there is a cf card that will turn your HX to a GSM phone. However you will need to have the head set to make that call it also has a problem with receiving calls because the cf slot has to try to conserve power. I don't have one but i was bidding one on ebay so naturally I investigated. you will also need a preprogramed SIM Card. Good luck>

Well well well, 3 weeks of meticulous investigation and nothing ! No GSM card with BT.
Stovetopwevil you are right these are my conclusions too. This was not a good idea. So I installed a phone manager that works just fine and I use it to dial, send SMS and so on pairing with my cell phone via BT and it does the job.
Wishing long life to HX addicted !

i've had the audiovox for a while now,
i bought it second hand off ebay.. there aren't many available..

i have running voice gsm.. it handles the sms ok..
but voice doesn't go in or out..
i think a combined mic and speaker needs to be connected to the jack at the top of the card..
but it's a very small jack and nothing i have is the right size for it.

really wish i had my touchscreen fixed cos my hx4700 now has these extensions:
GSM CF Card, GPS CF Card, universal PS2 keyboard connection (also makes standard keyboard into wireless over IR), FM broadcasting capabilities,
portable TV CF Card (very long to setup and find a signal though)

it's really cool what it can do.
too bad i can't use most of them without the touchscreen :(
the mouse is very annoying to use.

still want to add mouse capabilites and a cf camera :)
usb host would be pretty cool too :)
