I'd like to turn off the annoying sounds that you get when you open a menu or select and item (menupop.wav and handsw.wav). The Settings give no means of this. Other posts say I can delete the files, but they are marked as system files and won't let me delete or replace them. I've tried a hard reset but nothing has changed. Does anyone know how to fix this?

In the sounds control panel, disable sounds for Events.
