Lock and release button issues on battery cover

I have two hx4700 units, my daily use unit turns off regularly since the lock button on the battery cover moves with the slightest touch. Any suggestions on how to avoid this issue? I use a Krusell case which holds the hx4700 horizontally. About 50% of the time I put the unit in the case the button is moved and the unit powers off.

I have similar issue with my extended battery. The machine would get soft reset or disconnected (and goes OFF) when I move it in and out of my car holder, or sometimes just by shaking or squeezing it a little bit on the sides...

I noticed that the contact between the battery terminal and the machine is not that tight, so I put some small pieces of paper between, under and around the battery and its back holder. The objective is making a very tight fit when attaching the battery+cover unit to the hx4700, so the electrical contact won't get disturbed with normal operations.

I made it very tight that I had a hard time sliding the unit back to the the back of the machine. This, in effect, makes the sliding lock and switch very hard to move too, but I managed to put everything in place, because the paper can be compressed a little bit.

You can try it with just a little paper at first, and see if there is an improvement. Then redo it with more tight, "permanent" fitting. Don't blame me if the little pieces of paper may catch fire some day, but I have not had the same issue since making this "mod" :)

I know it doesn't sound very elegant, but have your tried a small piece of tape? The unit can be repaired (PocketPCTechs) but it would likely be expensive.
