chris, correct me if i'm wrong, but shouldn't this board be titled hw6900? i've never heard of the hw6800 and i'm a very loyal engadget reader.

The hw6800 is the rumoured HP version of O2's XDA Atom, this was just recently denied saying it is not based on the Atom. Maybe Chris knows something more about it and is preparing for the future.

Where is the rw6828 section???

Got one of these beasts a couple of days ago......got sick of carrying around a HX4700 and a phone as well.....
Cant seem to find the wealth of info that I did for the 4700.....
Maybe its a bit too new..

Any pointers would be great..

Whats it like?
I am thinking of buying one off of Expansys (via their American site) and just wonder if it is worth the £438.11 they want to charge me.
I would love to know what a user thinks of it rather than a reviewer who gets paid to make it a good review.
Are there any issues like the XDA Atom had when it was released?

Thanks in advance.

This unit is good. It is slower than the HX4700 (as expected) but the phone and radio and PDA all-in-one is good to have. I now have what I need all in one unit rather than 2. However there are a few issues that I'm still getting used to.
1. The radio works ok for stations with very good signal, however those witha slightly poorer isgnal are quite bad to listen to (as compares with my old mobile phone). dont know if this is just a dud headset.
2. I have had to soft reset at least once per day (probably because I'm playing with the rw6828 a fair bit.) I expect I have the first release of the firmware, and I would expect some issues.
3. the battery gets to 15% (as on the today screen) and then the unit shuts down and cannot be restarted until it has been on charge for abourt 5 mins.
4. Active sync 4.1 has less functionality than 3.8. But it is working ok.

Sorry for the short reply........

Thanks for the little review.
The radio seems no problem to me (only listen to BBC Radio 1 and that is a very strong signal!).
The battery issue seems to be just a safety precaution, but I am not 100% sure.
I think I will gets one, just got to wait for exams to finish!
