I have to admit, those things look pretty sweet. I wonder how well they'll truly perform. Wouldn't mind getting one to replace my Audiovox when I'm ready to do it.

I am going to have to have one of those when they are released. Besides, my current PDA is well over a year old, time for a new one!!!

I just emailed HP UK asking whether they knew anything about releasing the RW6800 series int he UK and US. They first replied asking what device I was on about as they had not heard of it before. I then emailed them and this was their reply;
Quote:
I had a look at this model on various Asian tech sites. It looks like this was designed for the Asian market only (it looks good indeed) with no plansn to release here. Its either the iPAQ hw6510 or hw6515.

There is a possibility you could get it imported. Amazon or E-bay?
Does not sound good. They may just be saying that to stop rumours but I think they are doing the same as O2 and won't release it afficially here in the UK or US.

well that kinda sucks, because i'm really hoping this makes it to the US by like september, because i really wanna get a converged device for my next cell on cingular because i hate carrying around a pda, ipod nano, and my moto. just carrying the rw and the ipod i could do, but 3 devices is a lot

i came across on some site the launch date for this device is somewhere around June. Pretty impressive device, similiar to O2 Atom. I guess its time to replace my h5450.

Too bad it wasnt going to be on sale outside Asia Pacific. But there might be possibility that might change. Else, there is always Ebay.

Just checked HPUK's site and it has the RW6828 listed, not yet in the products pages but it is there.

i got words that it will launch in asia in 2 weeks.

in the meantime..hw6900 series is already displayed on the product page. does it means that rw6800 launch will start in asia while hw6900 series will be launch first in the rest of the world?

Not sure because on the product page it says it will be released in June so either the rw6828 will be released in June as well or they are releasing one after the other in each part of the World. Then hopfully releasing each other one in ther rest of the World.
