is the ipaq 6800 a rebranded o2 atom?

hi.
sorry if this has been answered elsewhere.

is the ipaq 6800 series essentially the same device as the o2 xda atom? if so is the 6800 available in europe, more specifically in the uk or ireland.

i have been looking with interest at the o2 xda atom and the specs are very impressive. but as i'm not with the o2 network i was wary about whether the o2 atom would have full functionality on my own network (vodafone). also, it didn't seem to be available in europe at all.

so i was very interested to see that hp were to do their own rebranding of the device. i presume the hp version would work on any network.

any info would be great.
thanks.

Its the same...

The HP6828 is the same as the O2 Atom....Very slightly different case layout but the specs are the same. I brought the HP version for the fact it did not have a loose battery cover (case build quality seems to be slightly better) and was not a piano black cover (finger marks).

Hase a cool flip cover for the screen...I thaught that I would have to remove it at first (like the HX4700 cover), but is actually very handy. I like it now (clever design).!

The only difference is the layout of where the speakers are on the front. HP also say that the bios, firmware and everyother software based part is different, I guess, learning from O2's mistakes.
My "My PDA" now updated with hints and tips including a ROM fix for the RX3700 series and installing Transport Tycoon onto your PDA.

and making some new ones I suspect.

Mine has been dodgy for charging.
Any application will switch off the charging, today page, a phone call, an email or sms... all will switch off the charging.
I need to then go into Power - USB and change any setting on it (fast to slow, etc) to get it to charge again.

Overall though I am happy and working in a building with about two dozen o2 atom owners that are happy with their own as well. Strangely though I am the one how has had the most problems. the charging and the phone cutting out too regularly.
