Sounds like the same model as the rx4000 here in Singapore. I think it is a new model. When I first saw the name I was hopeful in thinking it might be a replacement for my hx4700, but no such luck!

I've only seen pictures of the rx4000 (HP Singapore sent me a promo offer) but it looks a bit....well, 'cheap' for lack of a better word. I mean in terms of build quality, it looks 'plasticy'? Could just be the pics. I need to see one and play with it.

Mic, what are your impressions of it thus far? Are you enjoying it? In terms of information, shouldn't have what David gave you come on the side of the box?

Speaking of David, you've got wayyyy more posts than I have and we joined on the same date! I'm just not an active guy, I guess. I guess I need to get posting a little more.

Rx 4240

I got my Ipaq RX 4240 in July and put a 4 gig sd card in. I have a bunch of music and movies loaded. The music is clear and the movies are really cool. The wifi will connect to a B & G router very easily. The screen is bright and clear even set to low brightness. The only problem I have had has been applications that continually run caused allot of soft resets. I now install and run my applications from the pda's internal memory and load mostly only media to the sd card. I almost never have to do a soft reset. It fell about four feet to the pavement of a parking lot and was survived without a single scratch due to the Boxwave Silicone Case I put one the day I got it.

Waterrat,

You have a 4GB card working OK in the rx4240??! The 4GB cards are all SDHC (as far as I know) and I'd been told by HP that the rx4240 didn't support the SDHC spec! What specific brand of SD card do you have? If I try it I'd feel better getting one from the same manufacturer.

Thanks!

Waterrat, the rx4240 does not support SDHC cards, but you can find a few 4 GB SD cards around. I use a 4 GB Adata card in my pocket pcs and a 4 GB noname mini-SD card in my hw6925.

The 4GB SD cards are not industry standard, but they still work.
