Ipaq rx1950 battery life
Hi, never done a forum post before so dunno if someone may have already asked/answered this question but, the battery life of my HP Ipaq rx1950 is really poor. It's not when I'm using it or listening to music or whatever, that seems to be fine. It's when I haven't used it. It could be fully charged and have simply not been used for a few days. I'll go to switch it on and it will be completely dead. I bought a had metal case for it as I thought that it was switching on whilst is was in my handbag and that could have been draining the battery, but that doesn't seem to do anything either. It will usually be dead after being in my handbag for a day or so too.

Is it a general fact that the battery life of the 1950 is poor, or is this an isolated incident? Would I benefit from a new battery or will that not make any difference?

If anyone out there can offer me some advice, that'd be really helpful.

Cheers,

ErinDee

Have you performed the so called dummy server fix to stop ActiveSync from turning your Pocket PC on in regular intervals and attempting to sync? See this link for more information about this:

From my pocket to yours....: Battery drainage, ActiveSync and the dummy server fix

I need to dig mine up and see if that fixes mine, I've all but stopped using the darn thing because the battery never lasts an entire day for me....
