Aximsitex3icon rx1950 won't sound reminder tones, still !

I've read a lot of forums and thought I was on to something with MemMaid. I downloaded the trial and the app seems to be conveniently laid out. I went to the Notification Queue to find the offending duplicate, dangling, expired, and invalid notifications. Selected each of those and deleted any that showed up (there were actually none since I had previously used the Quick Cleaner tab functions but I went through the motions anyway).

It did not help my problem of reminders not sounding.

I unchecked all the sound options, soft restarted, re-checked all the options, soft restarted again, ran MemMaid again but no luck.

Next idea? Hard restart?

Thank you for any help.

Mike

If deleting duplicate and erroneous notifications did not resolve your issue, then you'll probably need to perform a clean reset.

Julie,

Thank you for replying. I have other posts out there that are regarding this so you may ignore those!

I have all data synced on my PC. If I do the hard reset will I then be able to easily restore all that info to my PPC by syncing again? Or is there more to it than that?

Nope it's just that simple. You might have to rename your device, unless you delete your device name from activesync before you do a hard reset and sync again.

The thing you'd want to avoid is restoring from a backup file. If you do that, you will likely restore whatever is causing your problem. But if you perform a clean reset, you should be able to sync your data and get your Outlook data synced back to your pocket pc with no problem. You will probably need to delete the existing ActiveSync partnership and create a new one.
