Flash rx1950 from SD card - plus problem?

Hi,

I just got an rx1950 and I'd like to update it using the 1.01 ROM update on HP's website (it's currently 1.00.04 ENG).

However when I connect the rx1950 to a PC using the USB cable, the screen and the yellow light at the top start flashing. In researching this (google: rx1950 flickers usb), this may be a problem that the HP ROM update (plus a later patch) fix, but it seems like the PC/ActiveSync won't recognize when the USB cable is plugged in.

So, I was wondering if I could flash this to 1.01 using an NBF file on an SD card?

This thread on xda-developers SEEMS to indicate I can do this by putting an NBF file on the SD card, then press Contact+Mail + reset, but which NBF file do I use?

I've downloaded sp31892.exe from the HP website, and run it and found a CEOS.nbf file that got extracted.

Can I just put that CEOS.nbf file on the SD card, then do the Contacts+Mail+reset, and will it then flash the rx1950 to 1.01?

Does anyone here know, or has tried this?

Thanks,
Jim

Hi,

I just tried the above, putting CEOS.nbf on the SD, and when I did Contacts+Mail+reset, it said "Wrong Image!!".
