gps problems

Hej.
I bought my ipaq navigator for about three month ago, and it has been working, but now it cant opend the gps port, my cradel is an kirrio and it use prot 1 speed 4800.
can anyone help me, I have michelin maps on a cd card

Make sure that nothing else is using the serial port.

For example: The HP micro keyboard takes over the serial port even if its not connected.
Note that the driver will reload automatically after a reset so the keyboard must be disabled for gps to work.

Do you have more than one gps software loaded? Make sure that only one is running at a time.

So...
Make sure keyboard drivers are disabled.
Reset the pda to make sure that all other gps programs are shut down
