Hi, I have just got my new RX1955 and after the usual glitches setting up synch partnerships and getting it to recognise the Outlook 2003 version on my system, I find that I have a recurrent problem in the device powering down and requiring either a soft reset to power back on or, on occassions, a battery removal to allow restart.

Is this a common fault or has mine just decided it wants to be alone!

Any help gratefully received.

Well, the powering off and on problem sounds pretty common; I have the same problem almost all the time. I find it happens more when you have an SD card inserted. I don't know why you would have to take out the battery though, that sounds pretty strange. Mine only refuses to turn on after the soft reset when it's battery is pretty low. Then, I just plug it in and on it comes! So part of your problem sounds normal, but instead of removing the battery frequently, as it might get dirty, etc, I'd try just plugging it in to charge it. Update your pocket pc to the latest Firmware & ROM:

Then be sure you have performed the so called Dummy Server fix. See this link for more information about this:
