I reliably got 400 to 410 MHz.

Anything over that started losing activesync reliabiltiy.
Check out Pocket Hack Master, if you're interested in doing this. You should know that I also put it back to 300 MHz after finding it didn't make much difference.
Overclocking is something I've done for years on PCs, so when I found how to do it, I couldn't resist trying. The new PDAs like this one, though don't need it. For almost 95% of the time, they are idling away at a reduced speed to conserve battery power. As needed, they climb to a higher MHz speed, and then fall back down to idle. So while I could say I had a 400 MHz rx3115, it was hardly ever running at that speed. I couldn't see a difference in even the most demanding tasks, like doing a phrase search in a PDA Bible program (Pocket e-Sword). That search would take a couple minutes to run. The faster speed "seemed" to be faster, but after hours of sitting there with a stop watch running tests, there was too much variablity in actual timings to say the 400 MHz settings were much different than the 300 Mhz setting. In fact, at times they would be slower.

Before using any program to overclock your PDA, I highly recommend a complete backup of everything. I tried one program and found a hard reset the only way to get it to work again.
So, since no one ever asked me how fast it was, and I couldn't see a difference, I decided to stop using the program after the trial period. It was fun while it lasted. I think the money it costs would do far more good donated to hurricane victims or someone else in need.
Good luck!
