I've had this thing for nearly two years and haven't taken the time to deal with it's issues but now I must. So here goes:

1. Are there still user manuals around for them? Mine is a 3765...

2. I've just bought a new battery and a new sync/charger for it. Are there special things I should know about before I attempt to change the battery? It comes with a small screwdriver...that's NEVER a good sign..for me, at least LOL

3. Any other hints/words of wisdoms before I start this adventure...or start drinking again??! LOL

I don't know if this is a place where you can get a copy or not, but you can give it a try. If this doesn't work just google "ipaq 3765 user manual"...it's out there somewhere.

If you've still got the CD that came with it, you may find a user's manual on that. You can also check out HP's support & driver's page for the device to learn more about how to use it, but I wouldn't spend a lot of time hunting down a user's guide. Most of the IPAQ documentation is pretty generic and doesn't provide much practical help about how to use the device.

What issues are you referring to?

Just charge it up for several hours, install ActiveSync & Outlook on your XP computer or Windows Mobile Device Center on your Vista computer, plug the pocket pc up to the computer, create a partnership and sync your information to the device.
