Backlight problem yet again .. and possible reason why!

Had a backlight problem with my rx recently (see other post) and thought I'd fixed it by messing with the settings, but it happened again. This time no matter what I did to the settings it wouldn't come back on and then it would crash out. I tried to think of the last few things I did that might have caused it so I could work back to sort it out, or try to anyway.

The thing is, this only started happening since I bought an integral SD card for the ipaq. The backlight problem only starts happening shortly after I've dumped stuff on the SD card or the IPAQ memory, both of which until recently were almost full.

It looks as if whenever the SD card is almost full and the memory on the ipaq is almost full, this problem with the backlight crops up ... when I took some of the stuff off the SD card, leaving about 20% space, and then cleared space on the memory of the IPAQ, the problem went away, backlight is now back on again ... anyone else had the same problems with cards/memory issues affecting backlight? It might be a bug/problem in RXs.

Exactly how did you move data from storage memory to the SD card? And also exactly what did you move over?

If you moved applications over it is best to uninstall first and then reinstall to the SD Card. If you just move applications and then remove it from the original location without modifying the registry then you can run into problems.

I didn't move anything from the IPAQ store because on my ipaq it's locked. I deleted stuff in the main memory. But all that's academic now anyway because (curses!) it's happening again. Just when I think I've licked it, it comes back again. The problem is really starting to bug me now. I'm going to try a hard reset (as suggested by someone on this site) to see if that cures it.

Anybody have any input that might help me clear this problem up, much appreciated. :)

Well I've tried a hard reset but still the backlight is going off again. Odd thing is that on most occassions it comes back on after a few minutes if I leave it. Very strange.
