I don't like the look of the thing nor do I like the features. I hate the plastic look. I also don't like the fact that it is priced as high as it is.

Well I'm no expert but I did play with in at Staples for a bit before I got the "..can I help you.."; I was interested in HWR; kinda slow. it was kinda nice but I'm not sure worth the money; maybe $179?

FYI
Beautifully put across...But people prefer bying it because of many reason,
Old End users who are boared using 36xx modeld opt for colourful displays (cheaper rates) eg rz17xx series iPAQ, new user of pocket Pc's and mostly student.
Even the main segment was considerd as lower end users either in buisness sector or educational sectors.
But if you ask me this works best compare to some older models of iPAQs.
Belive or not..............PPC2003 SE rocks now a days

I got one at a discounted price when I recently bought my new HP Laptop. As they were giving the discount I was not expecting too much. I was an avid Palm user and this has given me a chance to try the Pocket PC without sinking a lot of money into it. Overall it is not bad for an entry unit. I would however get an SD card for it as it only has 27 megs of usable memory plus 10 megs of non volitile storage. There is also no built in backup software other than activesync. I Searched the web and found NEC EBackup [http://www.nec-online.com/Support/support_home.asp ]that works fine, but it must be put into main memory. It does not have Wi-Fi but the SD slot is SDIO compatible. Overall it is a good entry level / non power user device.

Note: ensure that all apps are installed to the SD Card whenever possible.

I have not looked but if the Hp1940 series is near the same pricepoint then there is no comparison... it is a much better unit. And prettier...

There is no real reason for this entry level unit... by all accounts it is outdated.
