iPaq 1710 with WiFi
Hi guys

I'm considering getting a WiFi SD adaptor to connect my 1710 to the Internet. Is it worth it? How easy is it to surf? Say, to check my hotmail. How easily will it pick up e-mal through outlook?

I'm looking at the Sandisk SD adaptor, maybe the one with 256MB extra storage. But I've heard that these might not work with the iPaq. Has anyone found this? Or has anyone managed to get one going with a 1710?

Any input would be greatly appreciated

I have been considering one of these for my IPAQ RZ1710 and the compatibility chart confirms that this should be ok. If you need to look at the chart to confirm it in your own mind then leave a thread and I'll send it to you.

I have heard of quite a few people that have them and they say they are nice, easy to use, and easy to get to connect to the wifi.

Have you installed the drivers?

And then worked through Ikes wifi guide?

hi,
I bought my ipaq almost two weeks ago, a 1710. I got my sd card wifi 256mb three days ago and I guess within an hour got it up and running perfectly connecting wirelessly.
All in all it shouldnt prove difficult. I must say though that my ipaq has locked up an awful lot of times with this card in it. And sometimes it doesnt switch on at all if the card is in it meaning I have to soft reset. I dont know why it does it either.
Any ideas?

I have been running a AmbiCom on my 1710 without a probem. Cannot comment on the SanDisk.
