Use the process in my "My PDA" section and this will tell you exactly how to do it, gets a bit of reading but if you do it all properly it will be fine. (Just make sure you tailor it to your device and the language you want).

You will have to use the ROM image for the PDA, so no, the rx3715 ROM will not work with an rz1710. I'm not sure where you can get it from seeing as HP don't have it any drivers listed for some reason. I will look around and if I find it I will post a link to it in this thread.

Do you know the name of the latest ROM that is installed on your device? (the SP***** number for the file you last downloaded off of HP, if you downloaded one at all.) It will make it a lot easier.

Hi Ricouk...
sorry but I've saw the rom version in this morning...
Date 07/12/04
ROM v. 1.00.06FRA

I've also found a person that can make a copy of his italian rom...
which is the best program to do it?

I am not sure on what program to use as I have never had to do it before. But with your ROM version I need the SPnumber which is the name of the folder for the ROM image on your computer. If you have never tried it from your ocmputer you may not have the files so it will be a bit harder.
