iPAQ rz1710 Battery sucks.....

Has anyone else had any problems with their battery in their iPAQ 1710? After approx. 11 months it will look as if it fully charged, but when i turn it on and check the battery status it is anywhere from 61-73% at max......can anyone please help. Maybe a "quick fix", or a root of the problem, HP has just been jerking me around........

Thanks

Josh

You need to be very definite with HP that the battery needs to be replaced under warranty. They replaced mine after 11 months, also the 'power board'. The machine now works perfectly. If you are out of warranty you can buy ebay aftermarket battery and change it yourself - assuming that is the only problem.

I have a similar problem with mine. About 7 months after I bought it I had to take it to be serviced, where they replaced the battery and the motherboard (or so they said). It took them almost 3 weeks, with 2 trips to the lab, and now I have the same problem again, and it is no longer under guarantee.
