Hi

Having changed cars I now have to position my 1710 in a different place further away from anything. Is there anyway to further boost the volume of the speaker/ I have it right up on the unit

There really isn't many ways to make the ipaq louder, other than by using headphones.
Are you using the ipaq for GPS? Audio?

I ask because there are software titles than can make sounds louder by using an equalizer or adjusting the gain.

Also, it is possible to connect the ipaq to your stereo system if you wanted to sacrifice your audio system while using the ipaq.

A specific answer about what you're using the ipaq for would get a more specific answer :)

Thanks Dave for the reply I wasn't planning on hooking it up to the stereo or anything else unless I really have to

I am using it soly for GPS. I can't make it do anything else ie comunicate with my pc for any other task

As a final note to this if anyone else is finding there 1710 a bit quiet when using Tom Tom go to the media player and turn the volume up there to max as well. It seems to make some difference and I stumbled on this by accident really
