Ripping Purchased DVD's to PC for IPod?

Can anyone please tell me if Spb Mobile DVD will rip or convert purchased DVD's so the can then be transferred to my IPod classic for viewing. I know some programms won't do it for purchased or rented DVD's. I just purchased Roxio's Copy & Convert 3 cause the salesman at BESTBUY asshured me that it would do the trick but it didn't. I thought Popcorn 3 would do it but apparently it won't work. Also if you can recommend any programms that will do this? Thank you very much, from 1 frustrated IPod user.

Try starting the DVD first then starting the whichever DVD converter software you're using. That should get you going. It's worked for me in the past.

Thanks for the advice, however after i downloaded it and try to run it I got an error message that came up. FU.exe unable to locate component. This application failed to start because dpl100.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Tried it agian and I am encountering the same problem. Any advce. Cheers and thanks.

I never heard of this error? Maybe it is not seeing your DVD player?

Not sure but I am getting very frustrated now. Can you recommend any other free programms to rip DVD's so they can be put into iTunes and synced to the iPod? Preferably any without the watermarks they put on for trial versions. Thanks again for any help. Cheers.

Sounds interesting, I'll have to give it a try when I get time.
