Aside from the visible features that are introduced with the updates, there may also be things like bug-fixes and optimizations.

No need to get into a tizzy, MusicMan....there's nothing wrong with voicing opinions or giving advice. It's just out of place when someone's not asking for the advice in the first place, but makes a declarative statement that they prefer a $15 work-around to iTunes, for someone else to advise to get iTunes. The decision was already made....

which is why my above statement about d/l-ing, updating, and then un-installing is a good option.....solves both issues. :)

help me
my name is craig and i have purchesed a ipod video i dont have a home computer so i use internet cafes to download music my problem is i can only have one itunes libary i am not to clever with computers i have heard of floola but i dont know how to get it on my ipod please can someone send me a walk thru guide please

You can sync more than one iTunes library. Under your iPod in iTunes, check "Manually manage music and videos". Now you can drag and drop music to your iPod without having to worry about having the same library.
Oh, and next time, buy a computer before you buy an iPod.

Hasn't been updated for some time. what is the consensus on currently available software, what is the preferred for managing music on say a 5g ipod (considering one of these).
