DELL XPS m1330
Hey this looks a great piece of kit?

Any views?

I wonder does anyone have any experiance of buying Dells from ebay?

The offers look high spec and £200+ cheaper than Dells site, is there a catch?

Ty for any help

You might get some sort of answer if you put a link in to what you are talking about.

I wouldn't go for it. We in the US are having major problems getting our hands on them. I ordered mine late July and my ship date is late August. So, most likely those offering them on ebay don't actually have it yet.

I agree...it's the same here in Canada. (I am patiently waiting for a good time to order.) Where are the units located? Maybe you should check about shipping times, etc. Also make sure the warranty is completely transferable. I know there are limitations to some of the warranty transfers, so be careful.

shiptime is everywhere terrible and warranty transfer is no problem if you have NBD warranty ( on-site service)

check out the 1420--not quite as small, but fairly powerful and well constructed with many of the same parts as the xps, according to some reviews I've read. wait time is about two weeks for the 1420, I think

I have considered it
I am waiting on an m1330. But I have considered buying it off of a couple people. This guy has one for a good price. I confirmed that is a real unit with Dell. But when I went to cancel my order dell offered me another $100 off. So I kept my order. But he has gone down another $125 since then so I have thought about it again. I am more likely to trade or buy from forums like this than EBay. But Ebay does have some recourse, especially if you use Paypal and keep it under $2000.

Has anyone actually received one yet? I'm looking to order (probably tomorrow) but can't decide if I want the upgraded video.

I ordered mine but didn't get the LED display. Do you think I'll regret it?

I got the 2.2 GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, 160GB HD, bluetooth, 3yr warranty, and extra battery. NO LED display, NO fingerprint reader, NO wireless N, for about 1100 GBP. From dell uk

I ended up getting the LED display and the upgraded video card. I can tell you that the display is quite beautiful, but it's hard to say whether you will regret it or not since I can't compare it with the non-LED one.
