Laptop help
I have a 6 month old Inspiron E1505 w/2GB ram and an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile, whatever that is. When I try to watch a video clip like you would see on a news site, or a YouTube video, it runs for 3-4 seconds then stops for 7 seconds. Basically I can't watch video. It will take 10 minutes to watch a one minute video. What can I do to make it run without stopping?

Please help. Thanks!

you should update to the latest flash plugin from adobes website adobe.com

update your drivers and os to the latest versions from microsoft update.

scan for spyware with spybot, a2 antimalware, adaware, comodo boclean etc.

defragment your computer... basically get it totally up to date and clean and running smooth otherwise...

after youre sure everything is up to date, disable any kind of eye candy or excess that may be running that you may have installed (if not skip this step)

within a flash video, you can right click to get a context menu. select settings, and make sure hardware acceleration is enabled, bump up the amount of storage flash player is allowed to store on your computer.

the same thing applies for video that would play in a windows media player on a website. open windows media player and under tools, select options. you can bump up the buffer for streaming video here as well under the performance tab.

other than that, it could be a network connection thing. are you using a firewall and or a blocklist like peerguardian or outpost fw with blockpost?

do you have a slow download connection speed from your isp?

these are all things to consider and check
