Question of Deleting

I have an interesting dilemma. I have a laptop running Windows Vista Ultimate. I ripped some a dvd that I own with DVD Decrypter. The files were saved in a .vob format and are viewable with the VLC media player. I did this just to see if I could. Now I would like to delete the film but I can't delete the data files. Any thoughts?

Have you tried rebooting your computer before deleting the files? How about starting up in safe mode and trying to delete the files?

There may be hidden files in the folder, or they may be read-only....what message pops up when you attempt to delete the files/folders?
