...windows vista.... business 32 bit... core 2 duo

i recently received a hp dv2000t laptop for christmas. i did the express upgrade to windows vista. is he core 2 duo a 32 bit processor? and if it is 64-bit, will the 32 bit os work with it....? it comes with drivers, as i understand.... i am beginning to get worried bout it... if it is compatible and the processor is 64 bit, should i try to get my order changed???- would it be worth the effort?

From what I understand, it is a 64-bit processor. That said, 32 bit version will work though.

As far as trying to get the order changed, entirely up to you. I got confused a long time ago (okay, not really confused, just stopped paying attention) once 64 bit processing became more mainstream. I don't know what the advantages/disadvantages would be of getting it changed to the 64 bit version.

That said, I may be entirely off base. But from what I understand, most modern processors are 64 bit..
