hope some bright spark can help. Have gone thru every song existing in collection and amended all the genre info. In an effort to make it easier to build some playlists which is normally how i like to listen to my music i made up a wide variety of genre headings and in many cases tagged songs into multiple genres ie/ rockroll; 50s or pop; 70s; quiet.
the idea was to then use autoplaylist to build a list which i'd then go thru and refine - again simple example: aiming to get a decent mix of: soft rock + hard pop ( soft rock; hard pop ) - both those exist as genres. BUT seems that if the 'target' has been assigned multiple genres they're not found: In that example the autolist ONLY finds things purely tagged soft rock or hard pop, the list won't show any tracks taht may exist in say: soft rock; 70's.
Have i made a fundamental error in thinking that the s/ware can do something it can't - or am i missing a trick.
really keen to find an easy work around as have about 10k tracks and i like to have loads of diff playlists to suit as i've found that for me thats the only way to listen to music on the device ( i dont use the s/ware for playing music at home as have a different system).
