Your in the stall enjoying some quiet time with your new OLED paper-thin Axim. You reach for the toilet paper...gone!
What do you do...what DO you do.

This technology is already a reality. It's called optical camouflage. Here is a site I quickly googled with some videos of the technology in action:
http://projects.star.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp...DIA/xv/oc.html
Here's BBC news talking about it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/3791795.stm
Another new technology that's in the works is a real "cloaking" device that's able to bend light so an object will appear invisible rather than give the illusion it's invisible. But i can't find the link for it now. But's its out there.

Everyone has forgotten the most important thing this could lead to.
Mini Display contact lenses.

Yeah, a HUD built-in to your eyes, too.
Hmmm... how'd we get to OLED from E-ink?
P.s. yeah, I understand... predator. And optical camouflage, I've seen it somewhere online. But, just think how it could influence everyday design, if it were cheap enough? Like E-paint or something.

This looks like the displays used in the 2000 SciFi movie
Red Planet.

i just hope they solve the color problem though if it is OLED.
There is no fun in watching an all green coloured movie.

I'm not so sure about clothes. Imagine how fast the spread of the code will be that one intrepid teenager who figured out to make your clothes well...disappear...
And you thought the guys with the suitcase cameras were bad... :hide:
I mean, imagine, using your wifi or bluetooth axim to literally uncover the bombshell sitting across from you on the subway...actually, on second though, i'll all for the clothes thing now! I wonder what special anme they'll call those hackers. :approve:

[QUOTE=hnelson59][fpic]
it is not a far leap to envision a paper-thin pocket pc.
What's the betting that the case manufacturers are finalising designs for socking great big protection cases for 'paper thin' pda's, even as we speak
