EXE's and zip's are compressed files. The exe for .010 when installed is the same size as the the CAB when installed. The CAB is simply uncompressed. Isn't compression cool?

Is the .cab being hosted somewhere else? My company blocks the wired network, and my Ax won't d/l the .cab as a .cab. It opens it up as text.

Not to be picky, (when I was on a PPC2002 I'd have jumped on this in a heartbeat), I'm on an X5, but besides the landscape mode scrolling screen, are there any other advantages over PIE? Can it be loaded to and run from an SD card?

I'll zip the cab and host it for you off a personal page. I hope you can open a zip from your device.

The other option is for me to try to change the file extension and for you to then change it back.

Are there advnatages over PIE you ask? Well does PIE have good support for every site? Have you ever been to sites that doesn't look right or stops you saying you need a newer version of IE? Can you load banking websites that are HTTPS or does it stop you? (It likely stops you). Does PIE ever change how the page looks and you dont like it? Can PIE load google maps or gmail for that matter? Basically PIE is limited while Minimo is nearlly a full support web browser. If you cant do it in PIE you probally can do it in Minimo. Nearly anything that loads in Firefox should(or will after more fixes) load in Minimo.

And yes, it will run from RAM/ROM/Storage Cards. Preformance will vary and Minimo is overall still a bit pokey but its getting better.

When did Minimo stop working with the X50v? I've still got .005 on mine, and it still works like a charm. :\

I want to say when I bothered doug about adding VGA support. Problem is how dell designed both the software and hardware of the x50v. It doesn't seem to fit the standard VGA device that other companies have made. Again we are in a desperate plea to find a Dell Engineer to help Doug out. This can all remain confidential if need be.

My guess is that 95% of all Axim X50v owners want this minimo to work on their devices so Dell should really listen, and try to solve this problem!

What about the other 5%? With something like this, why would anyone stick with PIE?? Someone should start a poll, then we can see that 100% back this up.

Come on Dell, help a brotha out. :waaa:

Working on the x50 for you? I've seen a few yes's and a few No's to being able to get thigns to start on the x50. Its usually related to too many things in memory and too many process threads. If you have issues disable today plugins and start minimo w/ nothing running.

Seems to run fine on the x51v, although extremely slow making it a tad hard to use.

The scrollbar at the bottom is mising also
And the keyboard btn apears over part of the gui :/ but its going in the right direction.

c00lk1d - thanks for the input. Through all this I haven't installed the release that was put out 2 days. I've been running a pre release. I'll have to play a bit but the scroll bar issue's conflicting w/ the keyboard input button is a known bug.

I tried this out and am not impressed. It's own graphics are really good, but I thought it might load the full version of aximsite, not the mobile version. The text is also not as good as PIE. Oh well...
