gmail works fine here. you just have to use the regular not fancy html version, and it works.

Needless to say, Minimo won't run on this end either. Shows the app running, but nada. I really wished there was tabbed browsing available like Firefox for the Axim X50v.
For now, I can get by with PIE & SPB's Pocket Plus, which allows me to run multiple PIE windows. Not teh same as Firefox tabbed, but still functional!

Yes, but when I was first posting my estimation of MiniMo on my X50, it crashed. I do like its rich features, though. I can see avatars and signatures with MiniMo. It's much more stable than previous versions, too. Still slow, but a great deal quicker than previous versions. I like the tabbed feature.

.10 seems to run on my x51v pretty well. Best mobile web page rendering I've seen yet. Is there any way to move the cache to a memory card to try and speed things up?

It doesn't work on the X50 series running Windows Mobile 2003. For sum unknown reason Dell have limited system resources, and Mimo needs more than is allocated.
WM5 doesn't have this problem on X50/51 at all.

Well, it runs on my X50 running WM 2003SE. Just a bit slow (although distinctly faster than earlier versions) and I have had it crash a couple of times. Just the browser, not the OS. Haven't had to soft reset because of MiniMo yet.

I've not really heard of having to soft reset due to Minimo. I really love all the feedback.
To answer a few questions:
Size differnces between CAB's and EXE: The exe contains the cab compressed. All the EXE does is offer you a way to install via active sync. Active sync copies the embeded cab from the EXE onto your device. It doesn't matter if you use the CAB or EXE; the installed size is the same. (Roughly 12 Megs I think).
Minimo seems to work fine on the X50 and the 51v w/ WM5. VGA support seems to be nice I'm told (Drat wish I had a VGA device now :-)
Motionmind: I'll look into your question but I would think it would be slower to move the cache to a memory card. I believe minimo would run fastest from RAM/ROM but may not be practical given its size.
Seems like several of you are really into Minimo. If you would like I invite you to join the disucssion over at Mozillazine http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewto...839419#1839419

X50v - Nothing
I hace a customer who is PIE-phobic and I investigatted this for him.
When installed on my X50v with ROM A04 ...
- The installation gives the "may not diaplay correctly" dialog.
- When I launch the application it simply hangs with no change to the display at all.
(I guess the warning was correct.)

Thom, the warning is beacause the CAB created for installation cannot both support old and new versions of Minimo. I assure you I get that error too on my device and it works on mine. The issue your experiencing is beacause Doug the creator of Minimo has not been able to get Minimo to run on the 50v.

X5 with ppc2002 = first two times I tried running it (before and after a soft reset) it said something about not finding minimo runner component or something. Now, when I click the programs icon (which appears as the white box with blue border like an app from a memory card that is missing) nothing happens. I tried the runner exe from the install dir, and minimo.exe and still nothing happens. I have it installed on an SD memory card.
Perhaps 0.010 is no good wor ppc2002!?
Maybe tomorrow I'll try an older version.

v0.10 running fine from my x51v, after installed from a zipped .cab.
Seems to run okay, and renders pages in beatiful VGA with no pixel doubling. However, seems horrendously slow and bloated (uses up nearly 10MB of RAM when running!)... I guess there's still too much unoptimised code from the desktop version floating around.

Perhaps a little but the reason its 'bloated' is beacause its a browser that supports nearly anything you can do on your desktop. I dont know any other browser that supports everything you can do on your desktop down to your pocket pc.
As for your comment on speed: Yes its still rather young. Another user who's been following minimo for awhile pointed it out best; This version is much improved over prior versions of Minimo. Every release gets smaller and faster.
Thanks for your input.
