EQ Chapter 3 Released

EverQuest Pocket PC: War on Faydwer 1.3
Something is amiss on the continent of Faydwer. Whispers of war have spread like wild fire among the Dwarves, Elves and Gnomes. What could be driving these peaceful races to the brink of destruction? Will hundreds of years of harmony and peace be crushed forever? In the third chapter of EverQuest for the Pocket PC, War on FaydarTM, you must answer these questions and more. Visit Kaladim, the mine city of Dwarves; Kelethin, the city in the trees; Ak'Anon, the city of Gnomes, and Felwithe, the city of High Elves. Battle monsters in Butcherblock Mountains, Steamfont Mountains, the Faydark Forests, and Dagnor's Cauldron. The fate of Faydwer rests in your hands. Are you up to the challenge? EverQuest for the Pocket PC: War on Faydwer is a stand-alone product. EverQuest Chapter 1 or 2 are not required to play. This version includes: · Four playable character classes. · Dozens of new monsters, weapons and spells. · Side quests that deviate from the main story. · Chests that can now contain either treasure or monsters. · A whole new story that allows you to bring in characters from EverQuest for the Pocket PC: Attack On Qeynos or create characters from scratch.

So, how good are these?

My wife is a big RPGer, but she doesn't care for MMORPGs. She is currently finishing BG II and has two or three other RPG's we've already bought that are next "on-deck." However, I was wondering about picking one of these EQ adventures up for her.

Recommendations? Condemnations?

Thanks.

I wish I had a wife who was interested in RPGs. That would probably reduce her general overall irritation with me by 3%. :p

I love the Pocket Everquest games. The games for the PPC are not online or multi player, so they are a little more like Diablo, although not as in depth due to size limitations. I also played BG 2. :D

Thanks for the input!

Thanks for the input. I'll pick up the first one and go from there (the next time handango has a sale).

And yes, my wife is a total Geek (like myself). She actually subscribes to MaximumPC--her own subscription! Soon we celebrate our 15th Anniversary. Perhaps she'll let me watch over her shoulder as she plays the PPC EQ. :)

Thanks again!
