BETA: WebIS Mobile Sync - Beta 1

I'm not sure if anyone would be interested, but the folks over at WebIS have begun beta testing WebIS Mobile Sync (for Plaxo)... Basically right now it only syncs your contacts to and from your device, but it looks like it could expand to notes, tasks and calendars in the future (pending API info from Plaxo).

For those of us that are looking to completely move away from ActiveStink, or anyone who wants to keep thier contacts identical across all computers, this could be the next top application.

I posted this under applications, but if some of you folks are anything like me, there's too many boards to look at them all.

Anyway, ActiveStink is pretty horrible. Alex and the guys at WebIS seem to be putting some work into creating a working application that will sync contacts (and in the future calendar, notes, tasks...) Its beta code right now, but actually quite functional.

Between WebIS Mail, Mobile Sync and wifi, we might be able to do away with ActiveStink all together one day!

Sorry to sound like a marketing pitch, I don't work for WebIS... I'm just loving the solutions they have been coming up with!

That's a good question.

Here's the deal ... Plaxo uses an application that gathers the data. It then all gets locked up online somewhere. Webis just wrote an application for the PPC that goes out and collects the data from their servers. So, really it all depends on if Plaxo is willing to write in support for OSX ... I know I wouldn't mind if they did - I've got a MAC under my desk here that could use a little syncing! :love:
