X51 ROM A06 is finally here to download!!!!!!!!

This could be it. The ROM we've all been waiting for, A06. It is available for downloading on Dell's website.

http://support.dell.com/support/down...&fileid=151479

Hopefully, all our prayers will have been answered with this.

Corporate customers were able to access it late yesterday afternoon (Eastern time)... I didn't hear anything nice from the IT lab right next to my office...

I'm going to wait this one out awhile to see what we got since the description doesn't indicate much substance to the ROM...

Thanks for the heads up. I'm too tired to re-install everything right now, but I'll download it. Not much description on the fixes

I hope it at least fixes my white screen of death issues. Hope the backup works, too. :rolling:

I'm not doubting what you heard, but that's pretty vague to us. What specific things did you hear that weren't so nice? IT guys sounding grumpy is a normal day.

I think its going to be a good thing for me to get from A01 to A06 anyways. Gamble or not. I'm starting to get some bugs here and there so hopefully this will put the end to the madness.

I get my Axim tommorow - I guess its good timing because I can install it fresh without dealing with the old version and resaving/installing.

Although if its problematic - then i'm i trouble.

please, please, please don't forget us Dell. Don't neglect those of us who shelled out $400-450 to buy your then newly released X50v's. It was only a little over a year ago.

Yay, updated. I'll give the results after school tomorrow. See if any improvements are made. It may be a psychological thing but it feels to me like the device is faster and more responsive than before. The update was way faster and easier than what I originally expected. I'm so happy now.

AKU 2.0 won't be out for a few more months. Microsoft planned the BT updates for then.

Hmph. I'd been seeing that the next ROM update should (obviously the key word) fix this problem. Oh well. Maybe if I run into a Dell/MS rep on the floor at CES I'll give them a piece of the Aximsite collective mind...
