January 16 - VITO Technology announces a major update of VITO
SoundExplorer. Now it supports WM 5.0, works more smoothly than ever and has got nicer looks. VITO SoundExplorer is to explore the music world on your Pocket PC to the full.

Yeah.. what about skin support? Dare I even ask on the Vito forums without gettinig yelled at by their "support" staff.. no thanks.. Great product.. zero support.

Hmm ... that looks interesting. One question, though - how would you do recordings on the PPC? There's a headphone jack on the thing - but no line-in that I know of.

Yes it does. It's cleverly disguised as an icon of a microphone on the upper left corner. I don't think the headphone jack doubles as a microphone jack, however. If you REALLY want a microphone, you can get one by reading this link (only $199 :rolling: ). VITO SoundEditor will allow you to adjust the gain on your built in microphone, supposedly.

I think the whole voice control thing would be pretty neat if it really works - I'll have to try it out once I get my x50v (hopefully by the end of this week :))

This thing is horrible. I downloaded the trial and it kept making my x50v wm5 lock up. I couldn't even uninstalled it through my ppc i had to do it through activesync.

Too bad they don't update gsplayer for wm5....

The last time I looked at the gsplayer home page there was a new link to a beta version for WM5.

It does. However, you need an adapter to make it work.

Too bad Dell/M$ doesn't update wm5 for the X50v. It would be nice to try all this NEW software. :realmad:

I downloaded the trial version and was very happy with it..... apart from one thing.

I couldn't find a random play feature and this is vital for me. If anyone can prove me wrong and tell me that there is random play I would love to know.

Maybe its only on the full version?
