Battery Pack 2003 v5.0.3 is out

v5.0.3 fixes are listed as follows:
Fixed Battery time remain problem with random life appearing in certain rare cases
Improved how Battery time remain is calculated
Fixed problem with Notes / Word not closing / opening correctly through Power Task
Fixed problem with some apps not reactivating correctly when using Power Task
Fixed problem when occasionally alerts wouldn't sound after a power on event

...I just loaded it and the time remaining no longer fluctuates
I have a fully charged battery and it's initially showing 1h 54m r.
Let's see how/if over the next few days of use, the time remaining display steadily gets more and more accurate.

I may be an optimist, but I think this time they finally fixed it !

Looks like you found the 10 foot pole to touch this.

Anyone knows a way to make BatteryPack and PocketBlinds to work together ? (in a good way, I mean :D)

I need the BatteryPacks Battery line, and I need PocketBlinds for skinning my display. However, PocketBlinds says that another program is trying to skin my display (obviously, BatteryPack does).

Any way around this ?

After a weekend of allowing Battery Pack 2003 to learn my battery this is what I'm left with.... It keeps going back to 2h 36m remaining, but in testing on my own, my Axim lasts almost twice that. I'm uninstalling and walking away from this program.

you're lucky...
5.02 gave me anywhere from 2h 46m to 7h 15m

now,, best I get is 1h 46m when taken charged from cradle..
when I show 4hrs elapsed time... I still have 57 minutes left..

go figure...

Gas gauges, battery gauges... no way.

I keep it on percentage. I know better of how I use the Axim than a program not accounting for if I was to read an eBook, of play Everquest.

I like the program but the more I use it, the less I think I really need a memory meter on the today screen.

I like the program bar much more with one line of small icons and the mulitple lines of bars. I wish that I could 'label' it somehow but then again, I know what on the bar by the first icon anway.

I cannot confirm or deny the posts of others in this thread as I am still on the first cycle after installing v5.0.3 but I am wondering if you guys uninstalled the provious version and let it delete the user settings before installing v5.0.3.

I had done a Hard Reset between the two installs so I don't think that was it....

DennisFranz - I'm with you on the percentage bar versus estimated time.

cageyjames - Where did you get the slider bar for screen brightness (I assume that's what it is)? I looked over the new settings and didn't see that. Is it part of 5.0.3, or an add-on like Journal?

I don't have it installed so this is from memory.

Go to the options under the today settings from BatteryBar. Where the clock is under the third icon, I changed it to whatever the other setting is.

Yea I noticed that... I don't see the need for the clock. The should put some other option there for Axim users who don't need/want the clock....

Oops, thought the only other option was "None". Tried the third option (Backlight), but it doesn't do what I hoped. What I'd really like it to show is a slider for volume. Thanks anyway - mastman
