Cellphone in my PDA ..
I looked at this option when I went shopping for my X50v.
I bought it for two reasons, Power point presentations and games.

I went for an option without a cellphone for several reasons:

I didn't want to have to pick up my PDA (connected to a projector and power supply) just to make a phone call, And what happens when it rings during a presentation?

I can't use it on aircraft if it has a phone attached. (A lot of my time is spent traveling).

A travel to many countries and take different "local compatable phone" with me depending on what network and frequencies are avalible in the country I am going too.

If I want to use my PDA as a phone I go to a local cafe and use Skype.

No one can convince me that talking to a PDA looks good.

Come on folks...how can you put any trust into such a rumor. Releasing an update to A06 and fixing the Axim's problems with the weak Microsoft bluetooth stack has to be Dell's biggest hot-button issue with these devices to date.

And yet we have no rumors about an update to the ROM, but folks are talking about discontinuing the line? I suspect you'd hear about the pending nature of an update before you'd hear about the discontinuation of the line. If these rumors were being tossed about against a working product line that had been languishing without a hardware upgrade or anything, I'd understand, but the x51v is not an "old" PDA per se so rumors of updates, etc. should be far more prevalent than those of discontinuation IMHO.

No - STOP we would all rather talk about how the PDA we love to rale about may be gone. If we wanted reality would we be here? LOL

I had confirmation from the guy who sold me the Axim via 0800 International sale line.

They would be given support for 3 years and that´s all.

What should we do? We should change to another one? We´ll be able to sell our pdas in the market anyway?
