Wisbar Advance Version 2.5 Released
For you Wisbar Advance 2 users, version 2.5 has been released. It has a host of new features and bug fixes which you can read about here.

Wisbar Advance 2 is an extremely customizable plug-in which skins the top and bottom bar and program interfaces as well as various information functions such as volume control. One of the really cool features is the cascading Start menu. It has come a long way from the open source Wisbar. I have been following the various beta point upgrade forums over at Lakeridge Software and a lot of work has gone into this latest update. Chris McKay has done an awesome job.

I have used Wisbar Advance 2 since it was released and have found it to be a very useful tool that not only enhances the functioanlity of my X50v, but gives it some pizzaz, too!

A free trial is available to check out. Among the new features is WisBar's compatability with Windows Mobile 5. Enjoy!

I've been using the 2.4.1 beta - and absolutely loving it too. Glad to see a new full version is out, but alomost tempted not to mess with how nice it's working right now on an X51V ...

I just installed this on my x50 and there seems to a bit of lag when selecting the start menu. The menu seems to kind of pop/flicker instead of smoothly opening like in the version I had before (forgot what number it was).

Ive just installed it over 2.4 and can deinatly see an imprvement. Its a lot faster and smoother for me. Very happy with this release.

Yeah, same on my X30H, ran too slow to consider it useful. If the new version is indeed faster, I may give it another whirl. Thanks!

I am having the same issue. It looks VERY nice and gives me some cool options, but it runs SO slow I don't think I can live with it.
When I tap the start menu, I have to wait from 2 to 7 full seconds before it opens! It also seems to be a mem pig.

Are there any apps that don't play nice with WA that could be causing this?

Anybody try the new version with the X50mid (520mhz)? I bought the previous WIS Bar version but, like others have noted here, it really slowed down my system to the point that I had to uninstall it.

Just removed it and system is nice and snappy again :)

I like the app, but untill they speed it up abit, I will do with out.
