I'll support this!

Good morning all,

I have an X51v that came with WM5 that seems to work well.

However, while I don't currently have a problem, I've signed and will support this. The X51v can be a much better device with minimal effort from Dell.

thanks,
ben

Hey my Axim is working fine?

I have an X51v at ROM A06 - applied the fake Exchange server hack, and am using Bluetooth Activesync, Bluetooth ThinkOutside Keyboard, and Bluetooth ThinkOutside Mouse.

My device is running flawlessly with absolutely no problems. Is there anyone out there (besides me) who loves their Axim? This is my 5th pocket device (first Axim) and out of all 5 I'd say this one has the fewest problems.

Sorry. I have no motive to sign this petition.

I rely on my Dell X50v for Professional reasons.
I hope that Dell will realize that we are not only loyal customers, but huge fans of your product.

Our request for a solution to the problems incurred using the WM5 upgrade, is hardly unreasonable. We are asking for a full upgrade, tested and free of system errors, complications and incompatibilities(Within reason). We are asking for a system upgrade, that will allow for a one step backup of our information, one step installation (via activesync) and completion without errors.

We are also asking for a true VGA option, accessible within the settings menu. (Why give VGA screens and no true VGA?)

Users have had to edit registries, look to homebrew programming, and make addtional program purchases to correct some of the problems with the new release.

We are asking for the new upgrade to be provided for free to those that have already purchased the initial WM5 upgrade disk.

We are asking for a refund of our WM5 upgrade purchases, if said product cannot be delivered.

Best Regards,

SonyConvert

Yesterday, before I saw the petition, I told a Dell technician that I, as a lawyer, was thinking about bringing a class action lawsuit. I received a call-back later from a higher-level persion saying that Dell is aware of my problem (bluetooth headsets) and is working on a solution with Microsoft. The followup response was straightforward and reasonable, so, though I now feel I can wait for a period to see what happens, I nevertheless whole-heartedly join in the petition.

I concur

I, too, am a big fan of DELL products. DELL, however, is practicing bad business when they sell an item (WM5 upgrade) and the item is unusable on a large percentage of the devices it was intended for. This is unacceptable and I am sure Michael Dell would not want his name on a situation like this.

Signed,
Terrence

Signed also. Love my x51v. But the Bluetooth limitations need to be addressed. As well as the fact that it sometimes crashes on being cradled. Beyond that, my solidarity for the people struggling with more substantial issues.

I too joined the petition as soon as I saw it. I hope this raises a high enough voice to make Dell think about its priorities...
