With a daily commute of at least 90 minutes roundtrip, I think a podcast would be a great idea to catch up on the latest in the mobile world. My vote would be for varied topics related to the websites you host.
Perhaps each podcast can focus on a specific topic, like Axims one time and maybe smartphones next, etc. A description attached to each podcast will determine if one downloads and listens to it.
Are any of you having problems clicking on the upper tool bar that has the "search" "quick links" "forums"...... ?
The only one that seems to work is the "home". Do I have a setting that needs to be changed that may be blocking this or is the site still being fixed?

I'm a podcast who's been going for over 6 months now. If you want some good tutorials, about podcasting (from listening to producing) I would suggest the Podcast 411 website. Lots of good info there!
As for the show topic, I would suggest making it about mobile gear with strong refrences to the axim (since it is the website).
There are thousands of other podcasts out there with people who just talk about tech. It's difficult to find a good one, and they all sound the same to some extent. You have an outstanding niche market with Mobile PC owners, UTILIZE WHAT YOU HAVE AVAILABLE! If you just talk about random mobile tech, your show will be competing with hundreds if not thousands of others.....
Just to clarify, these are just my opinions, but I've seen too many good podcasts burn out because the market was just too saturated for what they were focusing on.
Good luck, and make sure to register your show at Podcast Pickle once it's up. I can see about getting you a featured spot over there after cranking out a couple shows.
For the newbies:
Podcasting is the distribution of audio or video files, such as radio programs or music videos, over the internet using either RSS or Atom syndication for listening on mobile devices and personal computers. A podcast is a web feed of audio or video files placed on the Internet for anyone to download or subscribe to, and also the content of that feed. Podcasters' websites also may offer direct download of their files, but the subscription feed of automatically delivered new content is what distinguishes a podcast from a simple download or real-time streaming Usually, the podcast features one type of "show" with new episodes either sporadically or at planned intervals such as daily, weekly, etc. Besides that there are podcast networks that feature multiple shows on the same feed. Podcasting's essence is about creating content (audio or video) for an audience that wants to listen when they want, where they want, and how they want.
why not... this is already a big community anyway. :)

OK. here is the deal. "I" will not be doing a podcast myself. I and 3 other Microsoft MVPs are going to be doing a Mobility Podcast soon. I will include a link here to the download each episode as well. I think it will be great, besides, who wants to hear "me" talk to myself? No me... LOL
