You are absolutely right there. I've always said that Pocket Player produces better quality sound than any other players I've used.

I downloaded and tried a demo, but it kept garbling/stuttering during protected WMA playback. It would play some cuts fine, but others it just had trouble with. When WMPlayer 10 handled them fine, I decided it wasn't worth it for me to buy.

I already own PocketMusic and use TCPMP on my machine, so it was going to have to be really good to make the cut.

That being said, it did look nice and the players features were really handy.

Sort of bummed that I couldn't convince myself.

It DOES sound better than Mort Player. The EQ really works well with WMA files. A lot of the players that profess to have an EQ for WMA introduce so many bizarre artifacts as to be unlistenable. This thing sounds great.
Album art is not displaying correctly-probably something I'm not doing right.
Slow speed in the DSP mode stutters (I like slowing music down to listen to solos).
I like the library function so far. I will buy it because of the sound/eq.

Album art is working fine for me. Go to settings>visualization and set album art. Make sure you are playing something that has embedded album art.

I have done that. The problem I am having, is that the art is very fuzzy. It may be picking up a very small file (ie. the folder view) and trying to make it full size as opposed to picking out the larger jpeg. Don't have the time right now to investigate.

Thanks for the heads up. Downloaded, installed without a problem. Album art is displaying correctly and the playing of files at slower speeds is working correctly.
Who needs Media Player; this is everthing and more it should have been. They are getting my money! Discount or no.

Hey Lofty,

Thanks for answering. I never used Pocket Player on a VGA device before so i didn't know :).
I just purchased Pocket Player, because i think it's so great.
I wish they would include Video support. The layout is perfect for this.

I've tried this player and noticed it has very nice sound quality. Anyone with an mp3 players mind telling how it compares in sound quality to this?

In quality i think it's as good/if not better then the Creative Zen's audio quality. I think Creative's have better sound then iPods...
