FlexMail 2006

Look what the folks over at WebIS have just released - FlexMail 2006!

FlexMail is a full fledged email client for your Pocket PC. It supports reading and replying to ActiveSynched email for basic operations or through its infinitely more powerful POP3/IMAP4 services to your email server. With support for industry standard SSL and SOCKS proxies, you can connect to almost any email provider including GMail!

With FlexMail's many options you can customize your email usage much more than any the Pocket PC Inbox allows. Receive your email via ActiveSync and respond via your POP3/IMAP4 SMTP account. Have FlexMail only hold the last 5 days of your IMAP folders. Create local folders and server folders. Synchronize by age, size, and synchronizations status.

For more info visit WebIS.

I'll agree, once my CF disk gets here, I'll consider storing email on the PDA. For now, just streamlined for client data!

Has WebIS finally agreed to allow Pocket Breeze into their database, or am I going to continue using Pocket Outlook?

I don't know which programs / developers are using it, but WebIS released APIs so other companies can access Flexmail in January:

I don't think it was ever a permission thing, but more a resource issue, with all the new products / updates at WebIS, and developing the API's.

This is the best I can find. I seem to remember reading something like this last summer.

Nice to see common sense has prevailed. Now to see what comes of it.

I HATE you all, this program failed to load, and from their web site you had to load it with a CAB file only. NOW it will not un-install

Nice ideas, but the fact is they released this beofre they were finished wth it, and for me it SUCKS. Don't waste you money on it.

yikes.. maybe we can help you donbmcd if you post your problem in Applications forum.

I installed and used it without any problems.. working fine for me. Haven't tried the integrated SMS feature yet (I use indovisi for that). Anyone used that? any comments?

You know I contacted their support group, and I got nothing but pissie responces. The fact is I'll wait on this untill it works for everyone, then MAYBE try it again. It has a nice concept, but crappie applications.

I love it I love it! Nice lay out, works fast, and best of all, I can get my email anywhere! Definitely a + for me. I was using a freebie version of WebIS, and I'm more than willing to pay for this one. I am +happy :)

As for the cab file, well, it doesn't thrill me to deal with them, but I learned how to from posts here, so it isn't an issue anymore for me. :approve:
