Well I used PDAir aluminum case and it doesnt seem too different than innopocket magnum. Weight seems like the same too. I just keep the axim in the case when I'm out but when i'm at home, it comes out. I dont keep it in my pants pocket, it is too noticable compared to naked Axim. I keep it in my puffy jacket. But if I carry Ax in jeans pocket, I carry it naked. It is just fine:)

Well personally, I think the mag case looks a lot better and works better as it is a vertical flip open rather than a horizontal flip open, horizontal flips make it a bit more awkward to use while you're holding it.
As for protecting your Axim, both are probably about the same,
Since I'm just looking for a new case right now to protect my Axim, this is a much better choice for me because it's way cheaper (less than a third the price, if my math is right) than the mag case.

I figured I'd give it a shot. I wish I coudl find a hard case with a belt clip that would hol the Axim51v with the extended battery. I got the battery/case deal when I bought my Axim and have found the case to be less than optimal even with the regular battery installed. The knob would fall off(unscrew itself) and hit the floor. It happened twice before I started using the slip case again and the extended battery.

Is it good for extended battery x51v? Based on the specs and pictures it does not seem to be compatible.

Does anyone know until what time tomorrow the deal will last? Because I want to get this case, but I'm kind of stuck until tomorrow =\

Ordered mine over the weekend, and it arrived on Tuesday. Selected "cheapest" method.
To answer the popular question, I just tried to insert my X50v with the extended battery. It's a no-go. The curl around lip of the metal case holds the Axim securely with the regular battery, thereby not permitting any front to back movement. Because of that, the extended battery will not fit.

Don’t buy a standard case -- they’re useless (unless you can get one for $10).
For the past 15 months, I've been using my Axim around the house with the extended battery, and a slip case.
It survived a 3' fall, hitting a top corner onto a wood laminate floor (ouch -- time to get a better case).
I just purchased an Innopocket Magnesium Magnum Case from AximCases.com -- it arrived last week. I didn't see one for the extended battery, so I purchased the DX-3110 Magnum case. The way it opened was the clincher.
After I started using the case, a post to an Aximsite INNOPOCKET vs ? thread came to mind: “If I had a case for the standard battery, I wouldn’t take the Axim outside of the house!”
This case has brought to the forefront one of the weak points of the Axim -- the original battery. It runs out so fast! You can watch the battery meter fall -- it seems like there is less than 30 minutes of use-time with the small battery. Ten minutes will bring it down below 70%. Even in the house, there is no portability with the 1100 mAh battery. (I only use the small battery to recover from a dead Axim -- when you push the ON button and nothing happens.)
So with the Innopocket case, I won't use the Axim away from the house except to look up a number. (Can't blame it on a new operating system. With all the negative reviews, I opted to wait and haven’t opened my WM2005 upgrade CD. But even with WM2003SE, the 1100 mAhr battery runs out quickly.)
My suggestion: Don’t buy a standard case. They’re useless. Don’t get me wrong, my Innopocket Magnum is a great looking case. And it’s laying on my desk where I can see it – it does look nice. My Axim is in the original slip-case again, until I can get a case for the extended battery.
With the 2200 mAh battery, this X50v is a dream of a PPC.:approve:

Hmm, that's weird, I certainly don't have that problem and the original battery is all I have.
Maybe you need to change a few settings to conserve battery power, like setting the processor speed a bit lower, the brightness settings a bit dimmer, and the power save mode enabled when you're using wifi
These things should help your Axim last a bit longer than 10 minutes dropping to 70%
Then you can enjoy your new case again!

I just ordered mine on APril 1 and it was still in effect. Just thought you might all like to know....9.99 was great, 8 bucks for shipping not so much. But it should be a nice case.

Sorry to rain on everyone's enjoyment, but here's my review.
It's a great case. My axim is very safe in it. It has space for cards and easy access to the buttons. Its a little urban space man/geek to wear, but it does keep my baby safe. The problem I had was the clip...it snapped off on me with the first use. I did write to them and they promised a replacement clip mailed to me within two weeks. Anyone else have a problem like this?
