It looked good so I tried it.
I ended uninstalling it.
It was easy to create several of my own RSS channels but the thing took forever to sync via WiFi. Plus, the app insisted on loading its pre-configured content first before my content.
And I could never view the content unless I was connected via Wifi. So, you have to be connected to download (battery drain) which takes forever, then you have to stay connected to view the downloads (even more battery drain). I thought it was more of a mobile reader.
And finally, the "Sexy" category? I've seen steamier stuff on day time tv not to mention there is no way that I could find to delete or hide that category since it was content that I didn't want.
Ugh
If there was a way to sync via ActiveSync similar to AvantGo or some other RSS readers instead of only through WiFi, I would have kept it for the snazzy interface alone.

Had the same problems at first … Then I figure out the right way to work the application.
First, I suggest you to un-check the channels you don’t want to subscribe to in the "config menu " Nomad’s Channel Tab; this way unwanted channels won’t be refreshed anymore. Refresh time will improve significantly.
Downloading content for the first time does take a while: there are more than 200MB of content with the full initial channel package.
And finally, yes, Nomad does synch with activesync.
