Well, I've emailed them a couple of times now. Support isn't really that helpful I'm afraid. They keep telling me it is my memory and that I have to have 7mb at least to run it. Well, I have a lot more than that and I'm still getting errors. I haven't heard back from them on my latest email. Oh well I guess...
edit: I didn't mean to give the impression that Mastersoft makes bad products or doesn't care about their customers. That definitely isn't the case. It's just that for some reason, we can't seem to find a solution. But, I shall try a hard reset and see if that helps later this evening.

Hello Paul, I've replied immediately to all your emails, including this post. Problem is I don't know the answer. I don't know why it wont work for you. Microsoft .NET is a mysterious beast at times and it may be conflicting with something on your machine.
Really sorry,
Dom
No, I know that you have replied to all of my emails. And I realize that you are trying to help. I just don't understand why it won't work. It could just be a glitch. Maybe it is my machine? I have no idea. I'm not giving up yet. It's just really frustrating. Thanks!

Paul,
I remember having the same issue with Sudoku when I installed it for the first time. Finally to clear things up I did a hard reset , restore from my last backup and it worked. It had a conflict with another application. If you have install a lot of software on your PPC and never clean things since maybe it is time for a fresh start. It worked for me and I hope it will do the same for you. At worst you will have to reinstall everything.

Hello Paul, if you're willing to go this far then hard reset, then install it first before installing your other apps. I've never seen it fail on a fresh machine. There will be something on your machine causing the issue somewhere.
You could try a soft reset and delete the file kakurodb from My Documents.

Dom, I will definitely give it a shot when I get home later this evening. Thanks so much for your efforts!

Hello Dom,
I might be having the same problems as kulnet. If you would please look at post #32 on this thread. Read the reply and the original, this explains the error message word for word. Maybe this will help.
I hope so, because I would really like to avoid a hard reset.

I'll take a look now Chalinga but I'm not optimistic if it is the same issue. Maybe you could install V2 of Microsoft's Compact Framework as it should be backwards compatible and may not show the same issue. Worth a try. I'll also check SuDoku's FAQ as they are similar.
Update to my problem. I try to open Mastersoft Sudoku V2 and it gives me the same error message as above!!! What happeded? Sudoku V2 worked perfectly fine before. Why can't I open either of my Mastersoft programs?? I know it has to be something I did. Other games and programs open just fine from the same SD card.

The interesting part is that only the two Mastersoft programs are giving me this error message. Kakuro an Sudoku.
Sudoku worked fine in the past. Just not now.
If I install Microsoft's V2 Compact Framework, will I have to re-install all my programs? Where do I go for the download?
How do I find what Framwork version I have right now? And what is the Compact Framework???

I installed V2 of Microsoft's Compact Framework and then installed Kakuro. I still got the same error message as in the quote of post #32 on this thread.
This is a little frustrating...does anyone have any advice???
Chalinga, maybe you downloaded one of their harmful, malicious version uploaded on P2P networks.
Try uninstalling it, clean up your registry (pocket mechanic, sk tools, etc) and then download it again and try with a new installer. Maybe this can avoid the pain of a hard reset :approve:

Do you have the AM/PM registry hack installed ? That will cause the issue.
