VSNotepad reminds me of NotesToday I used a few years back. I have just played with the Trial Version of VSNotepad for about 10 minutes and I am quite impressed with its similarity to a real notepad. I am unsure though whether the full version would restrict the user from using maximum of 3 pages, as the Trial Version does.
I think I will buy the fulll version if reviews are favourable.
As nice as it is, the fact that they sell it in 5 different colors is ridiculous. It should be one product where the user can change colors if they like. It's a notepad not an Ipod. :-/
Anyone else only getting QVGA? I have an X50v but I'm sure it's staying in QVGA for me.
Otherwise it seems pretty good. I'd like there to be different notepads as well as different pages (so when you start it up, you tap on the desired notepad or tap on New and enter a name). I'm surprised this isn't how it works! Also, the paper colour should be an option, not different purchases.
I've yet to get a notepad "feel" to using my PDA. For some reason, drawing on it always feels wrong, but I'm not sure why.
EDIT: Hey, benjesuit stole my complaint! Mod, ban benjesuit!!!1!
I tried this VSNotepad on my X50V-WM2003 SE in True VGA (480x640) mode and every time it hang my X50V. I reseted, re-installed but same problem. When I switched to SE-VGA i.e. QVGA, it was OK. I tried freeware Touch-Notes ans same problem in True VGA. I removed both.
(1) No landscape mode
(2) Cannot scroll page
(3) Controls cannot be hidden thus they take up too much screen real estate.
(4) Eraser size cannot be chosen and it it very small and takes a long time to erase.
(5) Undo function only works for last line/object. Need several levels of undo.
(6) Need to be able to save seperate notebook, not just one.
